TSBIE not to allow junior, private colleges delete option

Hyderabad: The TS Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) does not allow junior colleges to choose the ‘delete option’, the Telangana Private Junior College Managements have alleged.

Due to this, students often have to pay for the Transfer Certificate (TC) and readmission in other colleges.Co-convenor, Intermediate-Joint Action Committee, Narender Reddy said, “The government has e-recruited guest faculties as PROs for admission in government colleges. The PROs take the hall ticket numbers and enroll students and block admissions.”

In the process, the students suffer as they have to study somewhere else while their admission is blocked in other private colleges, Reddy said. “The principals are unable to go for the delete option as the BIE does not allow them to do so in an attempt to show more strength in junior colleges,” he added. Honorary President, Telangana Private Colleges Junior Managements Association, G. Satish said, “Due to the lack of the delete option, students have to take a re-admission in private colleges.”

For official enrollment in other colleges, students have to pay Rs 600 which is sometimes too high for them.”
