Computerised JEE MAIN Begins Today

A newly constituted National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE main 2019 from January 8to 12 and for the first time it will be a fully computer based test.
Earlier the central Board of Secondary Education had organised the exam in boty pen-and -paper and computerized mode.But 2019 onwards it will be held in computerised mode for Part III th edrawing test which will be in pen and paper mode the authorties said that apart for the first time the exam will be conducted twice in jan as well as from april 6 to 20 students who fail to qualify the first time or who are unsatisfied with the results in the first attempt can sit again in April. The final merit list or ranking is prepared by taking the students best score of two exams.

The testing agency will use surveillance systems like CCTV's and jammers to ensure security at the exam centres.

Around 9065 lakh students have registered for the first attempt of the exam. The Testing has already uploaded admit cards on its website to be downloaded by applicants .The first shift of the exam will be conducted from 9:30am to 12:30pm and second shift from2:30pm to 5:30pm .Candidates have beenadvised to reach the centre an hour before commencement of exam and carry admit cards along with a passport sized photo graph as uploaede during online submission.
