All set for SSC exams from March 18

The 10th class (SSC) examinations are scheduled to begin on March 18 and conclude on April 3. The examinations will start at 9.30 a.m. and end at 12.15 p.m.

The examination that was slated for March 22 earlier is rescheduled to April 3 due to election to the Legislative Council members from Graduates’ and Teachers’ constituencies.

A total 6,21,634 students from 11,690 schools across the 13 districts of the State will take the test in 2,839 centres.

In a statement, A. Subba Reddy, Director, Government Examinations, said all arrangements were in place for smooth conduct of the examinations. Basic amenities like furniture, proper lighting and ventilation in examination centres, fans, drinking water facility and clean toilets were ready besides police bandobust and promulgation of Section 144 around the centres.

He said the Health Department would provide ANMs and supply ORS packets in view of the intense heat and the AP State Road Transport Corporation would provide free transport to students from home to examination centre and back. The students will have to show their hall-ticket.

The Transco officials have been asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the centres.

Hall-tickets have been posted on the official websitewww.bseap.gov.in. A helpline number 0866-2974540 is being activated for the convenience of the students.
