Girls outshine boys in SSC results

Overall pass percentage improved by 8.65 as compared to 83.78% of the previous year
Girls outperformed boys in the results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations, the results of which were declared on Monday.

The pass percentage of girls was 93.68, which is 2.5% higher than boys whose pass percentage stood at 91.18. In all, 5.47 lakh students — 5.06 lakh regular and 40,526 private — appeared for the examination conducted between March 16 and April 13. As many as 4,374 schools reported 100% cent results while the pass percentage was zero in nine schools. Jagtial district registered the highest pass percentage of 99.73 followed by Siddipet (99.33) and Karimnagar (98.38).
